Walking Around

I really enjoy walking, most days, and today was one of those days. After sitting in class for a few hours its nice to just get out and walk. Phnom Penh isnt the friendliest walking city I’ve visited, but its manageable for those brave enough to walk out into the middle of traffic. Today with my friends we walked around some areas near our hotel to get to some restaurants and later to the National Institute of Education (my roommate needed to signup for a test to start the process of becoming a high school teacher).

Walking here is an adventure in and of itself: cars honking, tuk-tuk drivers calling to you, new smells every block, and the sun beating down on you make for a cocktail of sweat and fun.
